A Student’s Perspective

Katie DavisHi! My name is Katie Davis. I am a senior at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. I am originally from Merritt Island, FL, where my parents still live. I also have a sister in Destin, FL. I came to Wake pretty sure I wanted to be pre-med, and planning to major in Biology. In two and half weeks I will graduate with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience. I will be attending medical school this fall.

These pages are designed to explore my life as a neuroscience minor here at Wake Forest. I am making them for an independent project for my Philosophy of Mind course, taught by George Graham, the A.C. Reid professor of Philosophy. This class counts toward my neuroscience minor.

In these pages, you will find requirements for the neuroscience minor, descriptions of all the classes I’ve taken that have counted toward my neuroscience minor, synopses of the topics covered in the Philosophy of Mind class, and useful and interesting links on the topics of neuroscience and philosophy of mind as well as links to the Wake neuroscience professors.

Enjoy!
-Katie Davis
